PCD DRILLS

LEUCO Telcon offers a wide range of PCD drills and combination tools to meet the growing demand for high quality tools for aerospace, automotive, marine and other applications utilizing composites and engineered materials.

PCD Full Nib PCD Spiral Drill

Developed specifically for the drilling of composites and composite/Stack/AL/Ti applications. The drill point is a solid PCD diamond nib for maximum wear resistance and flexibility of geometry. The solid nib is resistant to cracking and chipping and has a large regrind zone for multiple sharpenings. Available in 4-Facet, 8-Facet and Brad Point with optional through coolant from .1910” diameter and above.

PCD Wafer-tipped Spiral Drill

Constructed using a solid diamond wafer, these drills can be used on a wide range of composite, composite stack and engineered materials. The solid wafer is resistant to cracking and chipping and offers the largest possible regrind zone. Available in 4-Facet, 8-Facet and Brad Point with optional through coolant from .1910” diameter and above.

Drill Countersink

The advantage of drilling and countersinking in one pass with the Full Nib drill or the Wafer drill. The use of one tool drilling and countersinking saves costs such as the need to use a drill and countersink separately and reduces the amount of measuring and accurate machine set-up. Also reduces the amount of tools needed for replacement, which impacts directly on production line costs.

PCD Step Drill Reamer

Designed for composites and engineered materials requiring higher accuracy and tolerances. The pilot drill point is constructed using a solid diamond wafer with PCD tipped reaming flutes. The pilot diameter and reamer portion are engineered to minimize delamination and haloing. The point to reamer offset can be adjusted to accommodate drilling on a fixture where tool exit length is restricted. There is a large regrind zone on both the pilot and reamer.
